Matt Gordon

Principal | Construction

Matthew Gordon is the Founder and Principal of Connected Construction, a full-service construction firm focused on multifamily, mixed-use, and urban infill projects across the Greater Los Angeles area. With over 15 years of experience, Matthew has led over $100 million in construction value across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use sectors.

He began his career building hotel projects for major brands like Hampton Inn and XX (Element). He later led the delivery of three multifamily projects totaling over 150 units and $100M, which jump-started Connected Construction.

Today, Matthew oversees a $60 million active pipeline and specializes in project execution, pre-construction analysis, cost modeling, value engineering, and risk management. His focus is partnering with family offices and institutional investors on projects in the $50M–$100M range, bringing hands-on leadership, strong agency relationships, and a proven track record of delivering stabilized, income-producing assets.

Glenn Pickrell

Principal | Storage
Glenn has held leadership roles in the storage industry for over a decade — much of the time spent time at two of the industries largest REITs. In 2018, Glenn founded and is acting CEO of Storage 365 Management an Institutional grade third-party management company based out of Dallas, Texas. By 2019, Storage 365 and partners successfully developed and exited 13 Class A facilities to a REIT in excess of $300M. In 2022, Glenn entered into a strategic partnership with Connected Storage to expand its horizons to own and operate remotely operated Class B and C facilities in secondary/tiertiary markets across the US. Prior to finding his true passion in the storage, Glenn served as a Regional Vice President for Papa John’s Pizza, Ace Cash Express and PLS. When not immersed in the storage world, Glenn enjoys spending time with family, boating and golfing.

James Mu

Principal | Management
James is a senior management professional with over 10 years of experience in contract negotiation, property and construction management. James has had extensive experience in both commercial and residential projects; and oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and property/asset management. James’ full-service approach emphasizes and facilitates cooperation between tenants and landlords, and both public and private stakeholders. To remain cost-efficient, James implemented an import distribution for his building materials to which he integrated into Connected’s development projects. Through sharp contract negotiation skills, James brings to Connected the unique advantage of bridging social and business knowledge gaps that so many boutique companies face.

Tim Chen

Principal | Acquisitions
As principal of The Connected Companies, Tim is responsible for the firm’s new acquisitions, investor relations as well as the companies’ strategic growth. Tim’s investment portfolio consists of 500+ units spread across multiple asset classes but focused in multifamily and self-storage. Tim started his real estate career at Turnstone Capital where he was responsible for analyzing emerging markets for multifamily investments. He quickly transitioned to multifamily investments sales at CBRE where he personally connected with international investors, syndicators, brokers, and more. After 8+ years of investment sales experience and over $400M in investment sales, Tim transitioned into a new role as a principal owner.

Chaplon Mu

Principal | Development
As principal of The Connected Companies, Chaplon oversees the firm’s strategic operations and growth. Chaplon brings his background in finance & development and navigates Connected through his lens as an owner-operator. At Connected, he is responsible for managing the firm’s portfolio of multifamily and storage assets. Chaplon’s journey started in his 20’s developing multifamily and mixed-use projects for local family offices throughout greater Los Angeles. Chaplon is still involved in overseeing a $300M mixed-use development portfolio consisting of +600-planned units and continues to leverage relationships to connect his community.
